Gokyo Lakes

Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Pumori, Ama Dablam…mythical Khumbu mountain names within reach! This 13 days trekking allows a true discover of the Khumbu massif and the Sherpa culture in a very high mountain environment. The route goes up the Dudh Kosi Valley till Namche Bazar, capital city of Sherpa people before entering the Gokyo Valley till its vibrant turquoise color lakes amidst nestling in a snow and ice bower. Gokyo Peak ascent offers a splendid panorama of the world highest mountains by an easy trail: close by Cho Oyu is so impressive! In order to avoid going back on the same valley we follow another trail crossing the Renjo pass (5340m) before descending to Thame, a valley still protected from modernity. Kongde lodge, a place not much frequented, will offer another breathtaking panorama from its terrace.
