Dhan Kumar Rai

Travel experience and background: –

Dhana Kumar Rai has grown up on a village of Nechasalyan, Solukhumbu in lower part of Everest Region. Being born in a Rai family, Dhana has a strong grasp of the Rai culture and heritage that so vastly dominates this eastern region in Nepal. He is a 39-year-old licensed Trek guide with over 13 years of trekking experience on his shoulder.

He has been working with Yeti Adventures since last decade and has led trips in various trekking regions in Nepal. He is fluent in French Language and has led most of the groups in to Everest, Manaslu, Mustang, Kanchenjungha, Annapurna & Langtang region. He has also travelled to countries like France, Switzerland, Spain & India. He is also one of the lead guides for Tirawa in Nepal.

He has also received various training/courses related to altitude trekking from KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Education project), MAP Reading and Navigation, Medical trainings from Tirawa.

What he enjoys about his job:

Meeting people from different places with different personalities; being able to explore new places and learning about different cultures.
