Welcome to Nepal!

It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. A representative and driver from Yeti Adventure will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The representative will help you check into hotel. At the hotel you will be briefed about your daily activities.

DAY 2: Drive to Besisahar (Approx. 5 hrs)

After your breakfast at the hotel, drive to Besisahar about 5 hrs. from Kathmandu along to the Prithwi highway. We divert off the highway at the bustling town of Dumre and continue for a further one and half hours to Besisahar.

DAY 03: Drive to Chame (2,710 M) Approx. 5-6 Hrs. Drive

After breakfast, take a local Jeep with your guide and drive to Chame (approx. 5-6 hours)

NOTE:Jeeps will be Local sharing and will depart early morning. Local sharing jeeps usually depart as soon as the vehicle is full with passengers. Our Sirdar will manage the timings with the jeeps accordingly. You can expect driving on the off-road terrain with the local passengers in the jeep.

DAY 4: Trek Chame to Pisang (3,185 M / 10,824 Ft) – 5/6 Hrs. Walk

Today we walk pass the older part of Chame and climb up to Telekhu at 2840 meter and continue with a long pleasant and mostly level walk through the forest to Brathang, which lies at 2950 meter. Further we cross back to the south bank of the Marsyangdi River on a suspension bridge at 3080 meter and then make a long gentle climb over a ridge through blue pine forests. After this, the trek reasonably level as it heads to the upper part of Manang valley to Pisang. This town marks the beginning of the region known as Nyesyang, the upper portion of the Manang district.

DAY 5: Trek Pisang to Manang (3,540 M / 11,545 Ft) – 6/7 Hrs. Walk

We walk up to the Tibetan-style village of Braga at 3500 meters. At Braga you see houses stacked one atop the other, each with an open veranda formed by a neighbor’s rooftop. The Gompa perched on a high crag overlooking the village, is the largest in the district and has an outstanding display of statues. Then continue through a very arid countryside, dominated by weird cliffs of yellow rock, eroded into dramatic pillars alongside the trail to reach today’s destination, Manang.

DAY 6: In Manang (3,540 M / 11,545 Ft)

Acclimatization is very important at this point. We spend our time visiting monastery, side trip to Gangapurna Lake and doing some excursions with the wonderful views around the villages.

DAY 7: Trek to Yak Kharka (4,110 M). Approx. 4-5 hrs

Fairly comfortable walk to the village of Gunsang with magnificent views of the Annapurna massif. From there, we will walk along the Marshyangdi River and Jharsang Khola to arrive at the village of Yak Kharka. Throughout the day, we will have magnificent views of the Annapurna II, III and IV and Gangapurna. We will also enjoy the views of the Gangapurna Lake. Yak Kharka is basically a dusty settlement with few lodges.

DAY 8: Trek Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi (4,450 M/14,599 Ft) 4-5 Hrs. Walk

From Yak kharka you will continue to climb along the east bank of the Jarang Khola to Thorung Phedi, a rock-strewn meadow surrounded by vertical cliffs at 4420 meters. Blue sheep and even snow leopards can be seen sometimes in this valley. High in the skies above, you can see lammergeyers and Himalayan griffons circling around.

DAY 9: Trek to Muktinath Via Thorang La Pass (5,416m/17,764 Ft) Approx. 8 hrs

Crossing Throng La pass (5,416m/17,764ft) is an unforgettable experience and highlight of this trek. An early start is important to complete the mission. Each moment we have to work hard through the icy high-altitude trail on to Muktinath. Muktinath is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhist. The area hosts a Vishnu temple and a Monastery nearby. Muktinath itself demonstrates the religious harmony in Nepal.

DAY 10: Trek to Jomsom (2,713 M/ 8,900 Ft) Via Jharkot And Eklebhatti. (Approx. 5-6 hrs)

Early morning visits the Muktinath Temple and then descend to Jomsom via Jharkot, Lupra and Ekle Bhatti.

DAY 11: Fly to Pokhara. (Approx. 20 Min Flight) and connect to Kathmandu

After early breakfast, fly to Pokhara form Jomsom airport through the massive two mountain Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Once in Pokhara airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Transfer to the airport and Fly back home.

Note: Since there are only limited rooms at Local lodges in Annapurna region, we might need to accommodate big groups in two or more nearby lodges. Also, the lodges in this area do not entertain too many single rooms hence, rooms will be provided on twin sharing basis.

We do not recommend this program for the Rainy months (June, July & August) as it includes driving from Besisahar to Chame. Landslides are common in these areas during rainy season.

Cost Includes

  • 9 Nights’ accommodation in Local Lodge as per the itinerary Sharing Twin room on full board basis (FOOD ONLY). (Note: We will provide the best available Local Lodges in Annapurna region based on the room availability. please also expect that some of local lodges may not have attached bathrooms. Hence, clients will have to adjust on common bathrooms as well. However, we will try our best to allocate the rooms with attached bathroom wherever available).
  • 10 days trekking is accompanied by a local basic English-speaking Sirdar & a Porter. (Note: - one porter will carry a maximum weight of 25 kgs. There will be 1 porter for every two guests and 1 Sherpa will accompany for every 4 guests,). Includes all meals, accommodation and allowance of trekking crew, insurance of sirdar and porter & porter equipment, Bus fare for porter, Sherpa and Sirdars,
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP)& TIMS Permit Fee
  • Loan of Sleeping bag, Duffel bag & Trekking poles.

  • Nepal visa fees & Immigration assistance (visa fee subject to change, if revised)

  • Surface transfer from Kathmandu – Besisahar on a private vehicle.
  • Surface transfer from Besisahar to Chame will be in local sharing jeep/bus.
  • Any beverages, including mineral water, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks etc.
  • Meals not mentioned in the above itinerary.
  • Any items of a personal nature such as laundry, telephone calls etc.
  • Cost arising out of flight cancellation/road blockades/landslides/riots and events beyond our control.
  • The prices do not include: undue escalation in fuel prices, new taxes levies on hotels and transportation services or any hikes in entrance fees. Any large tax hikes and new levies shall be payable extra and shall be billed accordingly with prior notice.
