Mahendra Munikar

Travel experience and background: –

Mahendra Munikar grew up in Newar community of the Kathmandu Valley. Being a native Newar he has a strong grasp on Newari culture and heritage. He is well-versed in history and culture of Kathmandu as well as all parts of Nepal. He is a trek/Tour leader with over 13 years of experience on his shoulder.

A Masters graduate in Arts (in Buddhism and Himalayan studies) from Lumbini Buddhist University, Mahendra is well informed about his work. He has been working with Yeti Adventures since last 9 years and has led trips in various trekking regions in Nepal. He is fluent in French Language and has led most of the groups in to Everest, Manaslu, Mustang, Kanchenjungha, Annapurna & Langtang region. He has also received various training/courses International course in mountain medicine and rescue practical training in 2019 by Iffremont (Institut de formation et de recherche en médecine de montagne). He is one of the lead guides for Tirawa in Nepal.

Learning, interacting with people, being able to explore nature, & walking.
